A UK based music group named “This Circus Life” contacted me about an image I made for my “Metropolis” photo-essay that featured my multiple-exposure ICM images. They fell in love with one of the images and inquired if it was available for use on their new CD release. We struck a deal and I got my first CD cover. I’ve had thousands of photographs published all over the world, in all forms of advertisements, annual reports, magazines and promotions. This is the first time I’ve had one of my images on a CD!
I can’t say why, but it’s just fun to have one of my photos used this way, and especially for it to be one of my multi-image ICM photos that was amongst the first to feature a unique motion-capture aesthetic. You can see the entire “Metropolis” photo-essay under the Series tab of this website.
The music group evidently liked the image so much that they used it on every part of the CD cover, insert and the CD itself. I wish them well on their newest CD and I hope they become so popular that they’ll fly me over to the UK to create a photograph for their next release!
You never know where your photographs may end up, or who might want to use them, so I recommend to always add a small signature that allows people to find you to inquire about your image.
