Ghost Town – Images from a Pandemic
The Entity – March 31, 2020
Towards the beginning of the pandemic, Vancouver had been experiencing some unusual weather.
On March 31, a “micro-burst” weather event dumped tons of hail and rain at its epicentre. This was the first time I’d witnessed this type of weather phenomenon. The micro burst produced one of the spookiest clouds I’ve ever seen. As it moved over the city it felt like a malevolent entity or a portent of bad events that might be approaching.
Many photographers around Vancouver photographed this dramatic weather event, and I felt lucky to have been able to capture this menacing phenomenon right outside my window.
