We create structure to enable us to more easily experience being close to nature. As people retreated to their homes, the animals in the park were free to carry on their lives with little intrusion from park visitors. While many people flocked to the nearby beaches to alleviate the feeling of being trapped in their home, the paths of Stanley Park remained mostly vacant.
