Ghost Town – Images from a Pandemic

Inukshuk – English Bay

Inukshuks are symbols from the north polar region of the world, especially for the Inuit people in northern Canada. In the Inuit language the name Inukshuk means “in the likeliness of a human”. The representation of open arms is meant to convey welcome. With a vacant beach and empty streets, this Inukshuk felt like a First Nations sprit contemplating all that has changed in their traditional homeland.
