Christopher’s images are often influenced by the artwork he grew up around in the 60’s that often featured bold colours and dark accents. His style includes elements from abstractionism, post-impressionism, romanticism, luminism, pop art and even graffiti street art.
Christopher has extensive experience teaching others how to express themselves through photography. He taught photography and was a regular guest lecturer for the University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College, and was on the board of advisors for the School of Visual Communication for Oklahoma State University where he was a popular guest lecturer for students of photography and graphic design.
He designed and taught numerous photography workshops, photo walks, and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Christopher was the founding president of the Oklahoma chapter of The American Society of Media Photographers where he helped commercial photographers learn and adopt professional business practices.
His work for a broad range of commercial clients demanded that he be able to photograph in many genres, which encouraged him to create images in numerous styles and aesthetic looks. His experience and artistic flexibility enables him to offer a wide range of instruction for numerous styles of photography.
Christopher is known for his engaging, quick-paced and informal presentation style. His talks and workshops are a balance of inspiring photographs, image-making philosophy, and technique, all aimed at inspiring workshop participants to clarify their vision and develop the skills to express their personal creative spirit.
