ICM: Nature
“In every landscape should reside jewels of abstract art waiting to be discovered.” ~ Melissa Brown
Trees and water are the two most photographed subjects using ICM, and they are both subjects that yield wonderful results from utilizing ICM techniques. I regularly focus on the natural world for many of my ICM and ME-ICM photographs. ICM is an excellent technique for capturing the spirit and essence of the natural world. Nature vibrates with energy, patterns and forms that are not always visible to us. ICM can reveal these hidden forms and patterns in fantastic ways that we cannot imagine beforehand.
British Columbia is filled with an incredible range of nature subjects – forests, ocean, mountains, and an incredible variety of wildlife. I always include an excursion into the nearby rain forests and coastline during my photo walks and workshops, where it’s guaranteed that everyone will come away with a prized image.
