Robson Street Shopping District

There was no scarcity of irony to be found in the usually bustling, upscale Robson Street shopping district. Most shops were boarded up and cleared of all merchandise to help prevent looting that was spreading throughout the city. 

The result seemed to be a fitting statement about hyped-up materialism and the cold reality that an expensive technical jacket or bespoke beauty potion would not protect you from a microscopic virus.
