Slow Decline

“The environmental disasters created by the combination of atmospheric pollution, rising global temperatures, and sea levels rendered many parts of the earth uninhabitable. Environmental refugees streamed into more habitable areas, creating both a population and frantic building boom. The city turned into a chaotic, overcrowded maze of rapidly-built structures of monotonous forms. The extreme heat and humidity resulted in incessant rains intermixed with clouds of acidic, yellow haze, robbing the city of colour and livability.”
